Inspiring Big Dreams: A Special Night with the Houston Texans

In an extraordinary story covered by KHOU News, Nate organized an unforgettable trip taking 20 local foster children and six caseworkers from the Corpus Christi and Houston areas to a Houston Texans game.
Through ticket donations from the Houston Texans, the group enjoyed the ultimate game-day experience together inside a stadium suite.
Beyond the excitement on the field, the experience gave these young youth a chance to build confidence, feel celebrated, and create lifelong memories. Nate summarizes his mission simply: to ensure every child in foster care knows that their community believes in them and supports their future.

The Story Behind the Mission

Nate started his journey as a local changemaker at just seven years old. When he learned about the challenges children in the foster care system experience, he chose to give up his own Christmas presents to launch a toy drive.

That selfless spark grew into Nate’s Next Kid Up, a powerful youth-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering local foster youth through:
