Mano a Mano Scholarship Fund

The Mano a Mano Scholarship Program encourages students to continue their education in the Coastal Bend while promoting the growth of the local educated workforce.  Founded in 2022 by the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Flint Hills Resources, the program has awarded more than 250 students with over $675,000.00 in scholarships.  This scholarship helps local students grow to achieve a college degree or certification in technical fields relating to local employment.  The scholarship is also available to school districts for the advancement and needs of students in STEAM:  Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math programs focused on industry related training pertinent in the Coastal Bend.  The program will fulfill the needs of keeping students in education and training settings and to help with the local job shortages in our labor market producing productive workers and citizens.

Conquer the Coast

The annual Conquer the Coast bike ride brings cyclers of all levels together for an unforgettable ride around Corpus Christi Bay’s 66 mile shoreline. It has gained the reputation of being one of the most unique rides in Texas and continues to grow annually. Whether you’re a seasoned cycler or leisure rider, you can expect a scenic route filled with palm trees and waterfront views. All proceeds benefit the United Corpus Christi Foundation, with donations being made to TAMUCC Islander Athletics and Bikes to Kids.

Leadership Corpus Christi showed me the best of our community and introduced me to colleagues I can now call my closest friends. LCC introduced me to the region in a way that gave me a sense of ownership and inclusiveness and turned it into a place I can call my home. The professional development programming crafted my communication, business development, and interpersonal relations skillsets and gave me confidence as a young leader in a new community. The program made me a more nuanced business leader, a more engaged community member, and a better overall person.
