Meet Our Speaker: Aaron Bowman

As we prepare for our upcoming Buenos Dias Networking Breakfast, we want to provide a closer look at the leader joining us at the podium. Aaron Bowman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation, brings a unique blend of military precision and executive strategy to our region.

A Legacy of Leadership and Service

Bowman brings a wealth of experience to our community, ranging from high level military service to executive leadership in economic development. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he served twenty-eight years in the U.S. Navy. During his career as a Naval Aviator, he accumulated more than 2,300 flight hours and completed more than 300 carrier landings aboard eight different aircraft carriers. His military service culminated in his prestigious role as the Commanding Officer of Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Fl. 

Driving Economic Growth

Following his retirement from active duty, Bowman transitioned his leadership skills to the private and public sectors. He previously served as the Senior Vice President for the JAXUSA Partnership, where he spearheaded regional economic development efforts across seven counties in Northeast Florida. His expertise in business relocation, expansion, and retention helped drive growth in key industries like financial services, advanced manufacturing, and logistics. Additionally, Bowman served eight years on the Jacksonville City Council, including a term as Council President, and led operations for the USO of Florida.

Now at the helm of the CCREDC, Aaron is dedicated to securing the investments and jobs that will define the future of Corpus Christi. His expertise in strategic planning and his lifelong commitment to service make him an invaluable asset to our business community. We are excited for you to hear his vision for our region and the opportunities that lie ahead.
