UCCCC Staff Earn Prestigious IOM Designation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Al Arreola, Jr., IOM

United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce
President & CEO

Here at the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, our mission has always been to drive economic growth, champion local businesses, and build a stronger community. But to do that effectively, our own team needs to stay at the cutting edge of non-profit management and advocacy.

That is why we are absolutely thrilled to celebrate major professional milestones for four of our incredible chamber leaders!

What Does the IOM Designation Mean?

This isn’t just a simple weekend seminar. To earn their IOM recognition, Virginia, Gloria, and Jessica each completed 96 credit hours of intensive course instruction produced by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Over a rigorous four-year professional development track, they mastered top-tier strategies in:

• Strategic Leadership & Finance to keep our Chamber running efficiently.

• Advanced Advocacy & Government Affairs to better fight for our local business owners.

• Innovative Membership & Marketing to bring more value, networking, and resources to you, our members!

“Institute graduates are recognized across the country as leaders in their industries and organizations,” said Raymond P. Towle, IOM, CAE, the U.S. Chamber’s Vice President of Institute for Organization Management. “These individuals have the knowledge, skills, and dedication necessary to achieve professional and organizational success.”

Shouting Out Our Rising Leaders

The dedication to continuous growth runs deep in our office culture. In addition to our three graduates, we are incredibly proud to announce that Madelynn Duque has successfully completed her first year at the Institute! Madelynn is officially on the track to joining her colleagues as an IOM graduate, bringing fresh energy, updated industry insights, and new management skills back to Corpus Christi with every passing year.

How this Benefits Our Members

When our staff grows, the Coastal Bend business community wins. The Institute for Organization Management has been the gold standard for educating chamber and association leaders since 1921.

By investing in this elite training, Virginia, Gloria, Jessica, and Madelynn are bringing national best practices straight back home to Corpus Christi. This means:

  1. Stronger Advocacy: Better representation for your business at local, state, and national levels.
  2. More Efficient Operations: A highly optimized Chamber that maximizes the value of your membership dues.
  3. Better Programs & Resources: Innovative networking and educational events designed to help your business scale.

Congratulations to Virginia, Gloria, Jessica, and Madelynn! Thank you for your hard work and your unwavering commitment to making the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce the best it can be.
