The Texas State Aquarium, the largest aquarium in Texas and fourth largest in North America, is one of 20 nominees vying for the top 10 spots. Home to over 4,000 animals and more than 300 species, the Aquarium is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and was nominated by a panel of 10Best experts. With a 15,000 ft Splash Park, touch pools, animal presentations, and much more, there is something spectacular around every corner. Guests can also witness wildlife conservation in action by visiting the Center for Wildlife Rescue, which showcases vital science and technology needed for the rehabilitation of a wide range of Texas wildlife. Home to Texas’ only wildlife CT scan machine, the Center offers comprehensive care, from emergency surgeries to routine checkups. Welcoming over 560,000 guests in 2023, this is the sixth consecutive year for TSA to be nominated.
