From the morning coffee at your favorite local cafe to the specialized services that keep our industries moving, small businesses are the undisputed backbone of Corpus Christi. This week, May 3–9, 2026, the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce joins the nation in celebrating National Small Business Week.

At the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, we are proud to support and advocate for the small businesses that make our city unique. From family owned shops to growing startups, these businesses shape the culture and future of our region.

Small businesses play a vital role in building a resilient and diverse local economy. In Texas, small businesses account for nearly 99% of all businesses. In Corpus Christi specifically, they are vital to the health of our local economy, contributing significantly to the sales tax revenue that funds our infrastructure, parks, and public safety.

During National Small Business Week, we are proud to highlight Chamber members who continue to strengthen the Corpus Christi economy through service, innovation, and community commitment.

The Artisans & Retailers: Our boutiques and shop owners who give our neighborhoods their unique South Texas character.

The Service Providers: The accountants, contractors, and consultants who provide the specialized expertise our community relies on daily.

The Industrial Backbones: The small firms and suppliers that support our Port and local energy sectors, proving that “small” businesses do “big” work.

The Hospitality Heroes: The local restaurateurs and cafe owners who make the Corpus Christi a premier destination for visitors and locals alike.

To our small business members: Thank you for choosing to build your dream here in the Coastal Bend. You are the reason our economy remains resilient, vibrant, and uniquely ours.
