The United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation proudly hosted Lemonade Day, presented by Frost Bank, this past Saturday, June 22nd. We saw over 50 lemonade stands set up across various locations, including Corpus Christi, Sinton, Alice, and Aransas Pass, creating a vibrant and refreshing atmosphere in our community.
Lemonade Day is more than just a day for enjoying a cool, refreshing drink. It’s a comprehensive program designed to teach kids essential skills such as financial literacy and business skills through engaging, kid-friendly modules. This year, over 300 enthusiastic young entrepreneurs registered for the program. Their hard work culminated in setting up their own lemonade stands, where they had a blast showcasing their newfound skills.
But the fun doesn’t stop here—the program continues until the end of July. This means we’ll still see stands popping up throughout the Coastal Bend, offering delicious lemonade and other creative products. Many kids took their entrepreneurial spirit to the next level, selling items beyond lemonade, such as lip balm, cookies, and various baked goods.
A special thanks goes out to our sponsors and community partners. Without their support, Lemonade Day wouldn’t have been the resounding success it was. Their dedication and contributions helped make this event a memorable experience for our young entrepreneurs and the entire community.
Stay tuned for more Lemonade Day stands and support our budding business owners as they continue to learn, grow, and thrive!
