The Coastal Bend is a region of momentum. From our thriving port and strategic military installations to our growing energy sector and vibrant small business community, we are a powerhouse of the Texas coast. But to keep that momentum moving forward, we must ensure our priorities are heard where the biggest decisions are made.
The United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 2026 Coastal Bend to DC Advocacy Trip. This annual mission brings together a unified delegation of business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders to advocate for the policies and funding that will shape the future of our region.

Why We Go
The CB to DC trip is more than just a visit to the nation’s capital; it is a critical opportunity to get in front of U.S. administration officials, federal agencies, and legislative leaders. By showing up as a unified front, we ensure that the Coastal Bend isn’t just a dot on a map, but a priority in the halls of Congress.
Our 2026 Advocacy Priorities
While our agenda evolves with the needs of our members, our core pillars remain focused on regional growth and sustainability:
Economic Resilience: Ensuring a regulatory climate that encourages investment and supports our small business ecosystem.
Infrastructure & Logistics: Securing funding for projects like the I-69 corridor and Port of Corpus Christi Ship Channel maintenance.
Military & Defense: Protecting and expanding missions at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi and the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD).
Water & Natural Resources: Advocating for long-term water security and streamlined permitting.
Workforce & Education: Supporting programs that train and retain the talent our industries need to thrive.
