The United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce is proud to support House Bill 3689, legislation that ensures Texas coastal homeowners and businesses have access to affordable, reliable windstorm insurance—without the threat of unexpected rate hikes.

We thank Representative Todd Hunter for his leadership in filing HB 3689 and for standing up for Coastal Bend residents. This bill strengthens funding for the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) while placing limits on excessive assessments and surcharges to protect policyholders. It’s a fair, balanced step toward insurance reform—and now is the time for coastal Texans to speak up.
