Now Streaming A Year of Leadership and Impact

Al Arreola Jr.

President & CEO

Last night’s gathering brought the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce together with a simple reminder that this organization is never alone. From our board and ambassadors to our committees partners and members our work has always been built on moving forward together. That spirit of connection set the tone for an evening focused on reflection progress and what comes next.

During the evening we highlighted our annual report which captures a pivotal shift that began three years ago with the launch of our strategic plan. At that time we challenged ourselves with a simple question. Were we operating for the future or holding onto the past. Click here for our 2025 Annual Report.

We described it as functioning like a taxi cab company in an Uber world. Productive and familiar but not yet aligned with the pace and innovation expected of today’s business environment.

That moment led us to revisit our mission with fresh eyes. Much like Netflix realized it was not in the business of mailing DVDs the Chamber recognized that it is not simply in the business of ribbon cuttings. We are in the business of community. Of bringing people together. Of advocacy leadership and long term impact.

That mindset continues to guide our work and will shape everything you will see as we move into the year ahead.

Recognizing Leadership and Service
The evening also gave us the opportunity to recognize exceptional leaders who continue to move the Chamber and our community forward. We were proud to honor the following individuals and team for their commitment service and impact.

Ambassador of the Year: Dalia Brem
Committee of the Year: Leadership Corpus Christi Advisory Committee
Military Champion of the Year: Wes Hoskins
Board Member of the Year: Christopher Ardueser
Leadership Corpus Christi Chair Recognition: Sammie Ramon

These leaders represent the best of what it means to serve collaborate and lead with purpose. Each will be honored again alongside additional award recipients at our annual awards gala.

The Story Continues at Chamber Things
Our evolution and celebration of leadership will continue at Chamber Things the United Corpus Christi Chamber Awards Gala on January 29th.

At the gala we will honor those recognized last night along with recipients of the Henry Baldwin Award, Dora Cervera Mirabal Award, United Hall of Fame and Community Partner of the Year. It will be a night dedicated to legacy innovation and the people shaping the future of our region.

We invite you to join us as we celebrate how far we have come and where we are headed next.
