For the second consecutive year, the San Antonio Business Journal has recognized our President and CEO, Al Arreola Jr., on its prestigious South Texas Power Players list.

This annual roster spotlights influential figures driving economic progress, guiding policy, and fostering transformative commercial growth across South Texas. Al’s back to back inclusion underscores our ongoing commitment at the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce to advocate tirelessly for the Coastal Bend business community and expand our regional footprint.

Elevating the Coastal Bend Business Community

Under Al’s leadership, our chamber focuses on connecting local enterprise with major statewide opportunities. Whether working directly with lawmakers during crucial legislative sessions or championing small businesses right here in our neighborhoods, our mission is clear: ensure the Coastal Bend holds a prominent, respected seat at the table.

This honor reflects the shared efforts of our entire team, our Board of Directors, and our member organizations who work hard every day to keep our local economy competitive and thriving.

Coastal Bend Leadership on the Regional Stage

We are also proud to see fellow Coastal Bend leader Kent Britton, CEO of the Port of Corpus Christi, recognized on this year’s list. The Port stands as the nation’s top energy export gateway, and having both Al and Kent named as Power Players highlights how essential our region’s leadership, logistics, and industry are to the economic strength of the entire state of Texas.

Sharing the Court with Silver and Black Royalty

The 2026 Power Players edition also honored cultural and athletic changemakers shaping South Texas, including San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama.

Anyone who knows Al knows his passion for basketball and his loyalty to the Silver and Black. Sharing space on this list with his favorite team’s generational center makes this milestone especially exciting. While Wemby commands the court at the Frost Bank Center, our focus remains on anchoring local business and driving winning results for the Coastal Bend.
